daydreaming

I am currently obsessed with the idea of planning a week at La Maisonette. The evolution of this process is as amazing as the end result. Check it out here. Stephanie, I adore you.

easter dress

Wouldn't this be a darling Easter outfit for this weekend? Where's the Easter parade? I'm ready.

getaway today

Instinctually, I want to go some place warmer right now. A mini vacation would be nice, so would this swimsuit.

Perhaps I'll wear it in the bathtub, and make Josh deliver tasty beverages and feed me fresh fruit. I will play festive tunes and crank up the space heater. It will be glorious, I will emerge refreshed and relaxed.

savory read

I have had my nose buried in this book all week.

It is a story of passion, determination and love. The Sharper Your Knife the Less You Cry is a real life grown-up fairytale come true.

'spa'ctacular getaway

Tonight I decided to whisk myself off to Reykjavik, Iceland to check myself into the Blue Lagoon Spa in search of energy for life through natural sources. Caffeinated beverages just don't have the same effect they used to.

This is where I will be staying for the next couple of days...until I am ready to join the world again.

My room has twin beds...no time for hanky panky, this is about serious relaxation, I must have no distractions.

The view from my room is decent.

I'll start tomorrow bathing in the mineral rich geothermal seawater.

The rest of my day will be spent receiving treatments and reflecting on how I wish I was really here.

Please, join me lovelies.

let's go fly a kite

In my imagination this weekend, I will put on my Sunday best and go fly a kite. I will have a lovely picnic of sandwiches, berries and lemonade. I will put down a blanket and have rest before I skip home to retire...what a day.

falling

Longing for the simple days of Fall. I wouldn't mind at all if it arrived tomorrow. Here's what I would wear to greet it.

house of card(board)s

I keep telling Josh that we should get a cottage. Apparently, we can't afford it, but where there is a will, there is a way. I am sure he had not considered the glorious two storey cardboard cottage designed by Stutchbury and Pape Architects...duh!

super bike!!!

{my dream ducati 848 superbike}

As Bree mentioned in an earlier post, we spent a few days at the world superbike races at Miller Motorsports park in celebration of my old age (yeah birthday's are getting tough for me). Well, I spent a few days there, Bree spent a few hours, and as much fun as a monster golf-cart would be, I think this superbike would feel much more at home in the garage with my other beloved ducs!

Who could argue with the beauty seen here in the foreground and the background?

toys

Today Josh and I spent the day at the race track with some of our friends to watch the World Superbike Races. It was a lot of fun.

While I was there I was able to observe people who attend these sorts of events regularly. It was amazing how well equipped people were...trailers, golf carts. It made we want the t@b trailer even more than before. I also decided that I need a fancy golf cart to drive to the porta-potty or concession stand. This one has enough room for all my friends and I could have it custom painted to match the t@b.

kentucky blues

In my imagination, I am planning for my big day at the Kentucky Derby this weekend.

This is the hat that I am going to wear, with a black sheath dress in lightweight wool. I was thinking slingbacks with a 3.5" heel, big dark sunglasses and a simple black clutch. I can't wait to see what others will be wearing!

I wish I was actually going.

camp fancy pants

In my imagination, I am planning my getaway to summer camp. It is called Camp Fancy Pants. At camp I will create art and gourmet meals, indulge in spa treatments, I might even excercise. All of the other campers will be happy and funny.

I am planning to be well rested and beautiful by fall, just in time to make my big comeback to reality.

The accomodations and out buildings at camp will be designed by Gandia Blasco.

easter parade

In my imaginary world, I will be wearing this vintage dress in the Easter parade this weekend. I will have a large hat, and little white gloves, some sunny pumps and the cutest clutch...it will be glorious.

when i grow up

This has been a long time dream of mine, and I'm not going to stop having it anytime soon.

t@b

In my daydreams today, Josh and I bought this cute t@b trailer. We are looking forward to the warm weather so that we can drive around with Henri, find beautiful places, meet new people and eat way too much ice cream. Perhaps I'll even learn to flyfish...what a lovely summer we are going to have.
