For a while now I have really liked the work of Alexis Bittar, but this was the piece that really got me, the Small Horseshoe Necklace.

The clean lines and simple shapes really appeal to me. Many of the pieces are made from Lucite which has been hand carved and painted. There is something so gentle, soft, feminine about each one. I was surprised and impressed to learn that Alexis Bittar is a man, I had assumed the artist behind it was female.

This particular necklace also comes with a 3" extender, which I think is absolutely genius!

Thinking about starting a collection of Heath Ceramics. I have loved them forever.

Heath is one of the last mid-century American potteries left today. They have been producing gorgeous pieces for over half of a century. I admire the history and spirit of the company as much as their tableware.

After a lot of begging, I have finally convinced Josh that the accent wall in my office needs to be a different color, so in a few weeks when we have the space cleared out for the new carpet to be installed, I will get my new paint. I am very excited!

I have been at a loss as to what to hang on my new poppy red wall, but I'm thinking a couple of these would be perfect. Gotta start saving my pennies.

We have owls all over our house, I guess we just like them.

This week I found out that owls mate for life, and often times when one loses their mate they turn away from life. They are emotionally delicate and demonstrate love to their mates in ways that many others do not. Now I love owls even more.

This would be a fun piece to add to our collection.
