One of my goals for 2012 was to get my paper files under control, for real. Tax records, medical records, expense reports, it goes on and on.

I heard about the NeatReceipts scanner (recommended by Martha and Oprah), and decided to give it a try.

This clever gadget scans documents, receipts and contacts. It also comes with a great little software program that keeps things organized once the information has been scanned. I have used it for generating expense reports and organizing tax information as well, which I hadn't even considered when I first purchased it.

Still not paper free, but definitely paper-"less".
