my birthday wish

This is a very late post, however, I wanted to share with all of you the cake that Josh made me for my birthday this year. Anyone who knows me well is aware of my need for homemade cake, and that ice cream cakes can cause me to melt down. Josh has never disappointed me. Thank you, Sweetie.

big trouble in the little city

When I was out of town this week, the mall was only a block away from where I was staying...what's a girl to do? This bag and hat hitched their way back to Utah with me.

Since Bree is out of town (And to prove that I'm not dead) I thought I'd post a little something worth listening to ... Long story short, these guys from finland have put out some of the coolest music I've heard in a very long time (Not to mention they have some pretty darn good taste in architecture too). And yes, I still buy CD's... because I'm old... and because I like the liner notes almost as much as the music.

So, I started running and I am really enjoying it. I thought my efforts (and my poor knees) deserved to be rewarded with some new shoes.

If they make me run too fast, I might fall over. (I actually used this line in hopes of being able to avoid wearing the Nike running shoes my mom bought me when I was a small child...I just wanted the ones with Cabbage Patch Kids on them.)

I've not been a fan of the UGG boots, but my friend Debbie made a compelling argument for them early this evening, so I did some research. I might need some afterall. Would I be a total sell out?
