big and chunky
Ain't nothin' wrong with lovin' plumpy.
I have been away most of the week in Florida visiting my cute sister, her sweet husband and my darling little niece. Bathtime meant groovin' to Tessa's playlist. My favorite song, Big and Chunky from Madagascar 2.

new linen day
I love getting new linens in the spring, apparently Franklin feels the same way since he chewed through our sheets. While we were picking up new sheets, we went for new towels too.

h2 oh my!
In honor of earth day, I thought I would share this eco-conscious find. The Ovopur is not only beautiful, but it also filters your water with a four-step filtration system. Oh, and it's Canadian.

blessings
Today I was reminded how important it is to appreciate our everyday blessings. We all have so much to be thankful for, even when it doesn't feel like it.

3 for 3
I have been trying to attend yoga classes at least 3 times a week for the last few weeks, and I did it! I am so proud of myself (just had to share that).

ghostly accomodation
I am out of town on business tonight. Last night I made a reservation at a historical bed and breakfast that looked cute online. Tonight when I checked in I was suprised to see that it is even better in person. It is lovely, except....that I am pretty sure I am the only one staying here tonight, and the reading material in the parlor are books about ghosts and disturbing spirits from beyond. Is it just me, or does that seem like a poor choice of reading material? My feeling of serenity has been replaced with some anxiety. If you don't hear from me after tonight...

knots in your knickers
Every now and then we all spend an exorbitant amount of money on some fancy knickers, right? Isn't it heartbreaking when you wear your new drawers and you don't like them. They don't fit right, the seam unravels, or it feels like you have a gator nipping at your butt all day? No one wants to endure the shame of bring their used panties back to the store....and so we keep them and endure the torture. So, so, sad.

Happy Easter! We had a lovely day here at 123 house. This morning I found a stash of goodies left by the Bunny while I was sleeping last night....yesssss!
Today we enjoyed an amazing brunch, drinks on the patio, a nap, and a family dinner.

got milk?
Today I saw one of my neighbors walking home from 7-eleven. Look at the picture below...now add t-shirt and replace giant gourd with a gallon milk. That's the neighbor. I was totally impressed, it's like having an extra hand.

the cheese stands alone
Tonight I had dinner alone at a restaurant a couple blocks from our house.
It was nice to be able to sit and enjoy my own company. I believe it is one of the gifts of aging.

layers
I am a new fan of Jo Malone frangrances. Part of the concept behind it is the idea of layering fragrances. You can collect and combine them to seasonally changes your scent or mix things up a little.
I started with Nectarine Blossom and Honey Cologne...mmmm.

lemon fresh
A few months ago we started using Oxyfresh Lemon Power Rinse mouthwash. I never enjoyed using mouthwash until we discovered this.
It is natually flavored using a blend of essential oils...lemon, orange, grapefruit, bergamot, lime, peppermint...yum.

storybook adventures
It was 16 years ago that I was hired for my first "real" summer job. It was at Storybook Gardens, a petit childrens amusement park with chapters of fun to be had.
I worked in the Beanstalk concession and ice cream parlor, which sounds far more exciting than it actually was. However, I did enjoy visiting the beavers and the wallabys.
What was your first job?
{majestic, no?}
