Twenty four hours from now, I will be grams lighter. Tomorrow I will bid farewell to my excess weight...three unwanted wisdom teeth. Ironically, I will have less teeth and more cheek, which I certainly have enough of as is.
I am expecting the worst, but hoping for the best. I will be taking a few days to recover from the trauma. Depending on how I feel, I may post or I may not.

cited
I was cited today, cited for 4 violations...at home. I returned from work to this...
and this...
Little did I know that while I was out the 123 Police was patroling our house issuing citations for clothing stowed in an unacceptable manner. I have not been made aware of my trial date or penalty yet.

tagged
Our Monster will be receiving his new engraved tag in the mail later this week from Red Dingo. We discovered them at Love Your Pet Boutique in Park City.
There are several colors and icons to choose from so you can customize it to suit your fur child. It has room for his name and two phone numbers.

I am coveting this skirt and pair of long tanned legs. At least I have a chance at getting one of the two.

breaking a habit
Since the begining of the year, I have tried to curb my consumption of artificial sweetners. My diet soda habit was getting a little out of hand. Smokers have Nicorette, I have La Croix sparkling water. It has made my transition a lot easier.

better butter?
I come from a long line of peanut butter lovers. We don't just eat it during waking hours, sometimes we are compelled to get out of bed in the middle of the night to get our fix. I am convinced this is an illness.
Imagine my shock when I was home for the holidays and my mom had no peanut butter in the house. What the hell is almond butter?!? Turns out is is delicious, and feels a little healthier without all that sugar.
Will I be giving up my Jif? Probably not, but there are always room for more nut butters. Yum!

bender
So I've bought a couple things lately. Tonight when I enthusiastically showed Josh my new shoes ($100 off the regular price), his response was "Wow, you're on a bender!"
This is not true, but it made me laugh.

getaway today
Instinctually, I want to go some place warmer right now. A mini vacation would be nice, so would this swimsuit.
Perhaps I'll wear it in the bathtub, and make Josh deliver tasty beverages and feed me fresh fruit. I will play festive tunes and crank up the space heater. It will be glorious, I will emerge refreshed and relaxed.

adventures in snowshoeing
This morning Josh and I went snowshoeing on a new trail up the canyon. We started snowshoeing last year, and we love it. It is quiet and peaceful, and we see so many inspiring things. Naturally, I like to bring the camera. Josh is good for a couple pictures. Here is our hike in photos:

dr. grandma
We found Dr. Grandma's Pancake Mix a couple of months ago. It is made of 100% whole organic hard red spring wheat, extra virgin olive oil, and a 100% Natural Calorie-Free Sweetener, made from fruit extracts. Oh, they also have the wholsome goodness of Provo, Utah included (where Dr. Grandma is from).
Dr. Grandma's pancakes are unbelievably tasty, you don't even need syrup on them. I love to eat them with

love in a cup
Is there anything more lovely than enjoying your favorite cup of tea?
On days that I work from home I like to take a break to enjoy a cup of lemon ginger tea with fresh lemon and honey. It's good for my body and soul.

for today
My wise sister introduced me to the Daily Decalogue when I was home for the holidays. I think it will be one of my goals this year to read it everyday. It is filled with happiness, love and hope, things we can all use more of.
Only for today, I will seek to live the livelong day positively without wishing to solve the problems of my life all at once.
Only for today, I will take the greatest care of my appearance: I will dress modestly; I will not raise my voice; I will be courteous in my behavior; I will not criticize anyone; I will not claim to improve or to discipline anyone except myself.
Only for today, I will be happy in the certainty that I was created to be happy, not only in the other world but also in this one.
Only for today, I will adapt to circumstances, without requiring all circumstances to be adapted to my own wishes.
Only for today, I will devote ten minutes of my time to some good reading, remembering that just as food is necessary to the life of the body, so good reading is necessary to the life of the soul.
Only for today, I will do one good deed and not tell anyone about it.
Only for today, I will do at least one thing I do not like doing; and if my feelings are hurt, I will make sure that no one notices.
Only for today, I will make a plan for myself: I may not follow it to the letter, but I will make it. And I will be on guard against two evils: hastiness and indecision.
Only for today, I will firmly believe, despite appearances, that the good providence of God cares for me as no one else who exists in this world.
Only for today, I will have no fears. In particular, I will not be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful and to believe in goodness. Indeed, for twelve hours I can certainly do what might cause me consternation were I to believe I had to do it all my life.
Thank you, Dawn.
XO

Ernie & Bree
When Josh's hair is wet, it gets spiky. He looks like Ernie. He even has Ernie's laugh down perfectly. It's like living at Sesame Street.
I don't think I have any of Bert's trademark characteristics, other than a striped t-shirt. When I saw that Sumo wrestler Mainoumi Shuhei had head implants to make himself tall enough to compete in the pro circuit, I realized that I too could get a cone shape head if I wanted to.
It's good to keep your options open, you know?
